Pick a route to race, or start something new.
Race a ghost of your past self — or a target time — on routes you ride.
The map turns light and rotates so your way ahead is always up, like a sat-nav. Live time, distance and speed sit at the bottom with Pause and Finish. The chip top-left is your GPS signal: "±7 m · good" is a strong, accurate fix — if it reads weak, buildings or trees are blocking the sky and your trace may be rough until it clears.
See your distance, time, and average and top speed. Tap ▶ Watch replay to watch you and the ghost race the route again — the line glows green where you were faster and red where you lost time. Beat your time to climb the route's top-10 leaderboard. From any route you can also tap ▶ Replay last ride to re-watch your most recent attempt against the ghost it raced.
Sign in with your email and we send a one-tap link — no password to remember. Your routes and times are saved to your account, so they follow you from your phone to your laptop or any device you sign in on.
Tap Connect Strava on the home screen once to link your account. After a ride, tap Push to Strava on the summary and it appears on your Strava with the map. You can rename the ride first — the name carries across. It's one-way: only your own rides go out, nothing is pulled back in.
Your ride is saved to your phone as you go. If the screen locks, the app closes, or the battery dies mid-ride, just reopen Ghost Rider and tap Resume — you'll carry on where you left off, and the time you were away isn't counted against you.
Important: Ghost Rider records only while the screen is on and the app is in front. If you switch the screen off or change apps, tracking pauses until you come back — the part in between isn't recorded. The app keeps your screen awake while you ride to help with this, so it's best to mount your phone where you can see it. (This is how web apps work; recording with the screen off in your pocket needs a different kind of app.) Turn voice and vibrate cues on or off any time from the home screen.
